1. Data We Do NOT Collect

Extracted WhatsApp data (chats, calls, media, contacts, statuses, backups), decryption keys, case files, and generated reports. None of this is transmitted to us under any circumstances — the Software has no feature that uploads extraction results.

2. Data We Do Collect (Website & Licensing Only)

• Account data: your name and email address when you register on this website.
• Payment confirmation: payments are made manually (bank transfer / UPI / crypto); we record the transaction reference you provide so our team can verify and activate your plan. We never see or store card numbers or banking passwords.
• License activation: when you activate the Software it sends your license key, a hardware identifier (HWID), and the app version to our licensing server. This is used solely to enforce your one-device license.
• Update checks: the Software periodically asks our server whether a newer version exists; this request carries only the app version.
• Standard web logs: like any website, our server keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, page requested) for security and abuse prevention.

3. How We Use This Data

Only to operate your account, verify payments, activate and validate licenses, deliver software updates, and respond to support requests. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and CSRF protection. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent login from working.

5. Data Retention & Security

Account and license records are kept while your account is active and as required for accounting. Website traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and license data is stored on access-controlled servers. Your extracted forensic data is stored nowhere but your own computer — securing that machine (disk encryption, access control) is in your hands, and we recommend it for casework.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems, subject to records we must keep by law (e.g. payment/tax records). Contact support@cyberoctopus.net for any privacy request.
